    Block salt is used with non-electric twin tank water softeners. Simply place 2 x 4 kilo blocks into the front of the water softener - the salt chamber. As you use soft water in your home, the salt will dissolve. When the salt levels are below the clear red indicator – it is time to replace you salt. For Twin tank non-electric softeners block salt is required. It is not recommended to use tablet salt with these softeners.
